I am really loving your vids. You are a delightful teacher and its a pleasure to learn from you. I've improved a lot as a beginner but I am struggling to keep up with you whilst playing the island strum. No matter how fast I strum, I can't keep up. Is it the full island strum for each chord? Or do i change chords during an island strum? Am I making sense? Lol.

I never used to like the single speaker ones as I had feedback problems, I've had a couple of Boss ones with 2 speakers and that works better for me when playing backing tracks, electric guitar and vocals.

This is the strum (D DU DU) that I use for all of the 3/4 time songs that I play. 1. Good night Irene 2. Paradise 3. Piano Man 4. Tenneesee Waltz 5.. Singing the Blues

I love two chord songs. One of the very first songs that I learned to play on ukulele was "Dance the Night Away" I learned it with all down strums before I could do the Island Strum. At that time my brother said that song was the best I did. Next after acquiring strumming skills, the songs I played best were: "Run A Round Sue" "Dreaming" (Blondie) "Brown-Eyed Girl" "Lava" etc I never really noticed the song "Walk like an Egyptian" I love it. I love songs with a lot of C chord. Also a good two chord song: "You Never Can Tell" (Chuck Berry)

I find that strumming this way is easier and gives more time to change chords T DU D with an ever so slight emphasis on the second down stoke ( count 3}. It does however not sound great when playing the G-C combination

I love your lessons but am having a terrible time finding the chord sheets on the Patreon site. I am a member. Also, when playing this video, I don't see any of the chords. The into and outro chords are on scren while we practice both, but the rest of the chords are not. This is different than all the other lessons I have worked through. Can you help me navigate the site?

Thank whoever suggested this song. I forgot about it. It is great fun to sing & play. I love the pause where you wait four beats before singing "blue" It's like the pause in lyrics in "Ghost Riders in the Sky" I seem to have a good sense of timing without using a metronome.
